A team dedicated to making wines with passion, experience and dedication.
Andy Kalleske – Five Generations of Andy’s Barossa antecedents grew grapes in the Barossa; what was Andy to do? He picked up a snip at age 4 and he hasn’t looked back. Vines and wine are Andy’s passion. He has however added a new string to the Kalleske family bow, he now makes the wine rather than simply picks and sells the grapes. Andrew oversees the operations of Atze’s Corner Wines which he founded it in 2005. Not content to rest on his old Shiraz vines Andy has added some new varieties to the winery’s repertoire.
John Kalleske – John is from a generation of the hardest working people around the Barossa, a generation that witnessed the Barossa’s low point in the early 1980s and worked tirelessly to restore it to its rightful, world-leading position. Ever the sleuth, John’s eye for detail and ability to solve problems ahead of time keeps the Atze’s Corner vineyards in top shape. If you ever visit Atze’s Vineyards you will most likely see him working around the block sun-up til after sun-down, rain, hail or shine.
Barb Kalleske – Barb isn’t a native of the Barossa, but you’d never know it; her intimate knowledge of the vineyards speaks of her more than 40 years experience in tending the vines. Barb’s passion for developing vineyards and producing top quality fruit, shines through the entire range of Atze’s Corner wines.
Ryan Johns – Ryan is the newest member of the Atze’s Corner team joining us in 2012. But he’s a local so he knows the in’s and out’s of our great region. Ryan brought with him experience from multiple vintages at top notch producers in France, Margaret River and in his beloved Barossa Valley
Wally – The biggest and most welcoming winery dog in the Barossa. Wally’s roles include: welcoming visitors, winery floor maintenance, watch dog, tug-o-war champion and grape sampler.
