Ebenezer/Koonunga – The Shiraz is the most northerly family owned vineyard in the Barossa Valley, Elevation 280 metres, an annual rainfall of 500mm, red/brown earth over deep red clays, warm to hot summer days, cool/cold nights, Shiraz, Tempranillo, and Cabernet Sauvignon, average age 15 years.
Atze’s Corner/Nuriootpa –Elevation 260 metres, an annual rainfall of 480mm, brownish Sandy loam over red clay, warm/hot summer days and cool nights, Grenache 40 years old.

Maturation – 22 months in 11% New French Oak, 22% seasoned French Oak and 67% seasoned American Oak Hogshead

Tasting Notes
Dark Burgundy in colour it has a complex rich nose of ripe berried fruit,
sweet leather, plums, with a touch of spice, and charcoal. Intense flavours
of ripe fruits, cherry, and raspberry. Acidity and flavours well balanced
with the warm alcohol. A lengthy finish of cocoa, plum flavours with
slightly chalky tannins.
